Day 1

Marrakech – Atlas Mountains – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley to merzouga

Embark on the exhilarating first day of our 2 days desert tour from Marrakech to fes via the captivating Merzouga Desert. Your designated driver will pick you up from your hotel at approximately 8:00 A.M, allowing you to choose the perfect vehicle for your comfort. Our adventure begins with a scenic drive through the High Atlas Mountains, with a notable highlight being the Tizi N Tichka pass at an impressive elevation of 2260 meters (7,414.698 feet). Along the route, we'll make several stops for your convenience – whether it's for capturing picturesque moments or taking a moment to rest. Your preferences dictate the pace. Continuing on our path, we approach the iconic Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where ample time awaits for you to explore this remarkable fortified village and capture Instagram-worthy shots. Our journey leads us further to Merzouga Desert, guiding us through charming locales like Tinjdad, Jerf, and Arfoud, where vibrant palm tree oases dot the landscape. Finally, as evening approaches, we arrive at the long-awaited Merzouga Desert. This magical hour offers the perfect opportunity for a camel ride, during which you'll witness a breathtaking desert sunset. The day culminates at our desert camp, where a sumptuous Moroccan dinner awaits. Immerse yourself in Berber rhythms, gaze upon the star-studded sky, and relish the unique experience of this desert paradise.
On the last day of your 2 days desert tour from Marrakech to fes, wake up early to witness the breathtaking sunrise, take photos and have breakfast before returning to the hotel to start your day. Today will be dedicated to Morocco’s changing landscapes as you traverse from the vast Sahara Desert to the valleys, forests and high mountains of the Atlas Mountains with their snow-capped peaks. Your first stop will be the Ziz Valley, the longest valley in Morocco, followed by a breathtaking panoramic view of Ait Sheker. Continuing through the Tizi Ntlghamt, you can admire the lush green mountains and the nomads on the side of the road. The next stop is in Midlet, the so-called apple capital, where you’ll have lunch. After lunch, you’ll drive through the vast cedar jungle, stopping to observe and photograph the monkeys. Your journey will then take you to Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Africa”,” a small town in the Atlas Mountains surrounded by vast forests. You’ll take a break and stop at the lion statue to learn about its story before heading to your final destination, the imperial city of Fes, where your three-day tour from marrakech to fes via the Sahara desert comes to an end.
