This 4 days travel from Marrakech to Fes via Merzouga desert is an exciting and unforgettable journey through some of Morocco’s most stunning landscapes.
Starting in Marrakech, you’ll travel through the High Atlas Mountains and visit traditional Berber villages before arriving at the spectacular Dades Gorges.
You’ll then continue to the vast Sahara Desert where you’ll experience camel trekking, camping in a traditional Berber tent, and watching a beautiful sunset over the dunes.
On the third day, you’ll travel to the historic city of Fes, passing through charming towns and stunning scenery along the way. This tour provides a unique opportunity to discover the diverse beauty of Morocco, its culture and meet its welcoming people.
Day three will take you through Rissani and N’koub, where you’ll discover the traditional Berber way of life and its rich history.
Finally, on day four, you’ll head back to Marrakech, stopping at the beautiful Todra Gorge and the Dades Valley, before returning to the bustling city, filled with memories of your unforgettable adventure.

Itinerary
On the first day of your 4-day expedition begins in Marrakech. After breakfast, you will be picked up by our driver/guide to discover some of the best destinations in Morocco, such as some famous villages on our way.
The first stop on the way is the famous village of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified Berber Kasbah where many famous movies were filmed, such as Lawrence Darabie (1962), Bandits (1981), Gladiator (2000), Alexandre (2004), Kingdom of Heaven (2005), to name a few.
Before continuing the tour to “ the Hollywood of Africa” to visit the Atlas Studio of Ouarzazate and the Kasbah of Taourirte, visit the beautiful landscape and the view of the Dades Valley, enjoy the view of the Kasbahs and finally reach your hotel.
On second day of your 4 days Morocco desert travel. After breakfast we leave the Dades Valley to continue our tour towards the Sahara Desert.
On our way, we’ll cross the high, enchanting gorges of Dades and enjoy the panoramic view of the largest palm valley in Morocco.
In the middle of the day, we stop to have lunch in one of the local restaurants. As palm trees adorn our path, we reach the vast Sahara desert of Merzouga.
In Merzouga, we spend the night in the desert and prepare for a camel ride to the Berber tents that hide behind the dunes and offer breathtaking views. Once at the camp, you’ll shower in a cozy Berber tent, where you’ll also spend the night.
This way you can walk barefoot on the soft sand and discover the place for yourself. For dinner you’ll have a delicious, freshly prepared Berber dish.
We’ll end the evening under the stars, playing Berber music on drums and dancing (dinner and breakfast). The next day is a big day where you’ll explore many places, so you need to rest.
On day 3rd of the 4-day Morocco desert tour from Marrakech. breakfast, join a 4X4 car safari to discover the treasures of the Sahara Desert. In the massive dunes, you will drive through the road of RALLY DAKAR to shake your adrenaline.
Then you will visit a nomadic family and have tea with them. After that, you will be taken to Khamliya village. Khamliya village is a small village near the center of Merzouga.
This village is mainly inhabited by people with black skin color who were brought as slaves during the slavery period. It is also considered the base and foundation of Gnaoua music. In this village you will be able to enjoy the Gnaoua music.
After that, you will visit the lake of Srij. This lake is a seasonal lake. It is located on the edge of the golden dunes of Merzouga. It is a stopover for the birds migrating from Europe to South Africa.
At noon we will have lunch in one of the local restaurants and try Berber pizza. After lunch you will have free time. Before sunset you will be taken to a camel park from where you will start your camel ride to the oasis camp in the middle of the desert.
On the way to the camp, you will stop amidst the large dunes to watch the sunset before finishing your caravan to your camp. In this camp you will experience an authentic nomadic night.
This camp is equipped with all the amenities you will need. Delicious freshly prepared local food will be served. After dinner you will dance, sing and riddle with the nomads under the stars. (Dinner and breakfast)
On the last day of your 4-day Morocco experience tour. day we wake up early to witness the stunning sunrise, take some photos and have breakfast before returning to the hotel.
Then our journey begins, taking us from the vast Sahara desert to the valleys, forests and high mountains of the Atlas Mountains with snow.
We’ll visit the Ziz valley, Ait Sheker, Tizi Ntlghamt, the city of Midlet (the capital of the apple), the jungle of cedars and stop to observe and photograph monkeys.
Then we’ll visit Ifrane, the Switzerland of Africa, a small town in the Atlas Mountains surrounded by vast forests, where we’ll visit the lion statue and learn about its history.
Finally, we reach our destination, the imperial city of Fez, where our 4-day tour from Marrakech through the Sahara desert comes to an end.
