3 days desert tour from marrakech to merzouga

On the first day of your 3 days desert tour from marrakech to merzouga. After breakfast, your driver and guide will pick you up in the surrounding villages. Our first stop is the famous village of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified Berber kasbah where many famous movies were filmed, including Gladiator (2000), Lawrence of Arabia (1962), Bandits (1981), Alexandre (2004), Kingdom of Heaven (2005) and many others.

We then drive to Ouarzazate, the Hollywood of Africa, and visit the studio and the Kasbah of Taourirte. Then we continue to the breathtaking Dades Valley, where you can admire the enchanting view of the Kasbahs before arriving at our hotel.

On the second day of your 3-day morocco desert tour from Marrakech to merzouga. After breakfast we leave the Dades Valley and continue our journey towards the Sahara Desert. On our journey we will cross beautiful and high gorges that will give us a magnificent view of the largest palm valley in Morocco. Around noon, we stop at a local restaurant to have lunch before reaching the vast desert of Merzouga. We will spend the night in the desert and prepare for a camel ride to the Berber tents, which are located behind the dunes and offer a breathtaking view.

Once at the camp, you can take a refreshing shower in a comfortable Berber tent where you will spend the night. Afterwards, you can explore the surroundings and the soft sand barefoot. For dinner, enjoy a delicious, freshly prepared Berber meal before enjoying Berber music on drums and dancing under the stars (both dinner and breakfast are provided). As the next day will be a significant one, you should rest and recharge.

On the last day of your 3 days Morocco desert tour from marrakech to merzouga. We’ll wake up early in the morning to see the sunrise, take photos and have breakfast. Then we’ll return to the hotel on our camels, refresh ourselves with a shower and start our journey towards Bomalne Dades. The route will take us through several fascinating places such as Rissani, the capital of tafilalt and dates, the village of Alnif, the Tazarine Tower, the Kasbahs of Nekoub and the Draa Valley.

From there we’ll continue to Ouarzazate, through the Anti-Atlas Mountains, where we’ll visit the Taourirte Kasbah and the studio, followed by a trip to the famous village of Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, which served as a backdrop for many famous films, such as Lawrence of Arabia (1962), Bandits, Bandits (1981), Gladiator (2000), Alexandre (2004), Kingdom of Heaven (2005) and many more. Finally, we cross the Tizi-Ntichka valley of the High Atlas to reach our final destination, the city of Marrakech, where our three-day adventure comes to an end.
