First explore the imperial city of Fes before venturing into the Sahara Desert and spending a night in a traditional Berber tent under the stars. The next day, visit the impressive UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village that has served as the backdrop for numerous films. Then continue to Ouarzazate, the gateway to the Sahara, and explore the famous kasbahs and studios before spending the night in a comfortable hotel. On the final day, make your way to the vibrant city of Marrakech, where you will discover the bustling markets, historic monuments and lively atmosphere that make this city so unique.

Day 1

Fes to Ifrane to Ziz Valle to Erfoud to Merzouga

On the first day of the 3-day morocco desert tour from Fez. After breakfast, your driver will pick you up from your riad to begin your journey. Your first destination is the small town of Ifrane, often referred to as the “Switzerland of North Africa” Ifrane is located in the Atlas Mountains and is known for its beautiful forests and picturesque landscapes. You will have the opportunity to take photos with the iconic lion statue and learn about its history. Continuing on, you will pass through the vast cedar forests, where you can take a break to rest and photograph the monkeys that live here, as well as the lush greenery around you. The road then leads to the apple capital of Midelt, known for its fresh apples and valuable minerals such as vanadinites and tourmalines. Here you will take a lunch break and sample the local cuisine. After lunch, you will drive towards the Sahara Desert, passing breathtaking sights such as the panoramic view of the Tizi n Tlghmt and the Ziz Valley, the longest valley in Morocco with thousands of palm trees. You will also pass through Erfoud, famous for its dates and fossils. After 43 km you will reach the Sahara Desert of Merzouga, where you will spend the first night in a comfortable hotel on the edge of the dunes with breathtaking views. The second night of your trip will be spent in a desert camp where you will experience an authentic overnight stay with the Berbers, the inhabitants of the desert. This will be a unique and unforgettable experience where you will be immersed in the culture and lifestyle of the desert, surrounded by the breathtaking landscape of the Sahara.
On the second day of the 3-day morocco desert tour from Fez. We want to get up early to see the sunrise, take some photos and have breakfast. Then we will return to our hotel by camel and freshen up before leaving for Bomalne Dades via Rissani, the capital of dates, and Erfoud, famous for its marble and fossils. On the way we will take some photos. In the Toudgha Gorge, we will stop for lunch to rest and admire the breathtaking panoramic view of the ancient Berber villages made of clay that overlook the valley. We will also take a 300 meter walk. Then we will continue to Boumalne Dades.

Day 3

Boumalene Dades to Ouarzazate to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah to Marrakech

Today ends of your 3-day Morocco desert tour from Fez. Our journey takes us towards Marrakech, through the heart of the High Atlas Mountains. Along the way, we will enjoy impressive views of the mountains and the breathtaking Dades Valley before reaching our destination in Ouarzazate. We will then visit the famous Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, which has been featured in numerous movies such as Lawrence of Arabia (1962), Bandits, Bandits (1981), Gladiator (2000), Alexander (2004), Kingdom of Heaven (2005) and many others. After exploring the village, we cross the High Atlas Mountains and finally arrive in Marrakech.
