This 3-day tour from Marrakech to Fes via Merzouga Desert is an unforgettable journey through Morocco’s stunning landscape. Starting in Marrakech, you’ll travel through the Atlas Mountains, visiting the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou and the Dades Valley along the way. You’ll then spend the night in a traditional Berber tent in the Merzouga Desert, where you can enjoy a sunset camel ride and stargaze at night. The next day, you’ll continue your journey through the desert to Fes, stopping at the Todra Gorge and the Ziz Valley before arriving at your destination. This tour offers a unique opportunity to experience Morocco’s diverse culture and natural beauty.

Day 1

Marrakech – Atlas Mountains – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley

On the first day of your 3 days Morocco desert tour from marrakech to fes. After breakfast, your driver and guide will pick you up in the surrounding villages. Our first stop is the famous village of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified Berber kasbah where many famous movies were filmed, including Gladiator (2000), Lawrence of Arabia (1962), Bandits (1981), Alexandre (2004), Kingdom of Heaven (2005) and many others. We then drive to Ouarzazate, the Hollywood of Africa, and visit the studio and the Kasbah of Taourirte. Then we continue to the breathtaking Dades Valley, where you can admire the enchanting view of the Kasbahs before arriving at our hotel.
On the second day of your 3-day Morocco desert tour from marrakech to fes. After breakfast we leave the Dades Valley and continue our journey towards the Sahara Desert. On our journey we will cross beautiful and high gorges that will give us a magnificent view of the largest palm valley in Morocco. Around noon, we stop at a local restaurant to have lunch before reaching the vast desert of Merzouga. We will spend the night in the desert and prepare for a camel ride to the Berber tents, which are located behind the dunes and offer a breathtaking view. Once at the camp, you can take a refreshing shower in a comfortable Berber tent where you will spend the night. Afterwards, you can explore the surroundings and the soft sand barefoot. For dinner, enjoy a delicious, freshly prepared Berber meal before enjoying Berber music on drums and dancing under the stars (both dinner and breakfast are provided). As the next day will be a significant one, you should rest and recharge.

Day 2

Dades valley, Todra gorge, Sahara desert Merzouga.

Day 3

Merzouga, Ziz Valley, Middle Atlas, Ifrane, Fez.

On the last day of your 3 days morocco desert tour from Marrakech to fes, wake up early to witness the breathtaking sunrise, take photos and have breakfast before returning to the hotel to start your day. Today will be dedicated to Morocco’s changing landscapes as you traverse from the vast Sahara Desert to the valleys, forests and high mountains of the Atlas Mountains with their snow-capped peaks. Your first stop will be the Ziz Valley, the longest valley in Morocco, followed by a breathtaking panoramic view of Ait Sheker. Continuing through the Tizi Ntlghamt, you can admire the lush green mountains and the nomads on the side of the road. The next stop is in Midlet, the so-called apple capital, where you’ll have lunch. After lunch, you’ll drive through the vast cedar jungle, stopping to observe and photograph the monkeys. Your journey will then take you to Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Africa”,” a small town in the Atlas Mountains surrounded by vast forests. You’ll take a break and stop at the lion statue to learn about its story before heading to your final destination, the imperial city of Fes, where your three-day tour from marrakech to fes via the Sahara desert comes to an end.
