Day 1

Agadir via Taroudant - Ouarzazate And The Kasbahs

Depart from agadir to merzouga towards Ouarzazate, the gateway to the Great South, after breakfast and stop at Taroudant en route. Explore this ancient Moroccan city that has managed to preserve its original Amazigh character. You can witness the exceptional craftsmanship of local artisans while wandering around the souk.

Continue your journey and reach Ouarzazate in time for lunch. Afterward, explore the city, which is located at the confluence of the Dades and Draa valleys, and visit the Taourirt kasbah. Take a photo break at the Tiffoultout kasbah before ending the day with dinner and a good night’s rest

Today we travel from agadier to merzouga via the Atlantic coast to see the sights of Mogador (Essaouira). We pass through the Argan region and spend the rest of the day walking around this seaside town. We explore the old fortified fishing port of Essaouira on the Atlantic coast, which is also a popular destination for windsurfers and kitesurfers because of its shallow waters.

The town was once a favorite haunt of Bob Marley and Jimi Hendrix. You’ll also see the city’s most famous sights, including a mix of Berber Portuguese architecture, French urban design, art galleries and colorful markets, and spend the night in your accommodation with breakfast.

On the 7th day of your 8-day Morocco tour from agadir to merzouga. After breakfast, we’ll continue our journey towards Kalaa Magouna, where we’ll explore the enchanting Rose Valley.

Every year in May, the locals celebrate a rose festival where they showcase their rose-based products such as perfumes, rose water, oil and cosmetics.

From there we drive through the palm groves of Skoura before arriving in Ouarzazate, where we visit the famous film studios that have served as the backdrop for many famous movies.

Our next stop is the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village declared a World Heritage Site at UNESCO.

This impressive structure has also been featured in numerous films, including Gladiator, Alexander, and The Mummy, as well as TV series such as Game of Thrones.

We’ll then make our way to Marrakech, driving over the breathtaking Tizi-N-Tichka Pass and the High Atlas Mountains.

During the drive we stop for lunch and take photos at various viewpoints. Finally, we spend the night in a traditional riad in Marrakech.
